白日依山尽
黄河入海流
欲穷千里目
更上一层楼

白日依山尽

黄河入海流

The second line describes the ceaseless flow of the Yellow River, rushing eastward into the sea. The phrase '入海流' (flows into the sea) conveys a momentum that seems to overturn mountains and seas, creating a stark contrast with the tranquility of the previous line—stillness versus motion, presenting a magnificent natural panorama.
欲穷千里目
第三句转入哲理思考：要想看到更远的地方，穷尽目力所及。'穷'字既指极尽目力，也暗含对无限视野的追求。
The third line shifts to philosophical reflection: if you wish to see farther, to exhaust the reach of your eyesight. The character '穷' (exhaust) implies both straining one's vision and the pursuit of an infinite horizon.
更上一层楼
末句点明主题：只有站得更高，才能看得更远。'更上'二字表达不断进取的精神，'一层楼'既是实指（鹳雀楼共三层），也是虚指（人生境界的提升）。
The final line reveals the theme: only by standing higher can one see farther. The phrase '更上' (further ascend) expresses the spirit of continuous striving, and '一层楼' (one more story) is both literal (the Stork Tower has three stories) and metaphorical (the elevation of one's life realm).
