春夜喜雨
好雨知时节
当春乃发生
随风潜入夜
润物细无声
野径云俱黑
江船火独明
晓看红湿处
花重锦官城

This poem was written in the spring of 761 AD during the Tang Dynasty, when Du Fu was living in his thatched cottage by the Huanhua Stream in Chengdu. In a relatively stable period, he was moved by a timely spring rain, which nurtured crops, expressing his concern for nature and the common people.
